45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The members of the Sharyland North Junior High
67 School chess team distinguished themselves with their performance
78 at the United States Chess Federation National Junior High
89 Championship in April 2015, finishing in third place; and
910 WHEREAS, Competing in the K-8 Under 1000 division at the Galt
1011 House in Louisville, the team received essential contributions from
1112 each player as they outmaneuvered their opponents to claim the
1213 third-place trophy; and
1314 WHEREAS, All members of the team benefited greatly throughout
1415 the year from valuable guidance provided by SNJHS chess coach
1516 Adrian Castillo; and
1617 WHEREAS, With their accomplishments at the National Junior
1718 High Championship, the members of the Sharyland North Junior High
1819 School chess team proudly represented their school, and the
1920 dedication the students have demonstrated is sure to serve them
2021 well in the years ahead; now, therefore, be it
2122 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
22- Legislature hereby congratulate the Sharyland North Junior High School
23- chess team on its performance at the United States Chess Federation 2015
24- National Junior High Championship and extend to the team's members and
25- coach sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
