45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Derek Franklin Flores is graduating as the
67 salutatorian of the senior class of Robstown High School in 2015;
78 and
89 WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
910 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
1011 highest academic standards; Mr. Flores has demonstrated a thorough
1112 understanding of a wide range of subjects, with his favorites being
1213 mathematics and science; in addition, he participated in numerous
1314 extracurricular activities, including SkillsUSA, UIL competitions,
1415 and National Honor Society; and
1516 WHEREAS, The son of Frank and Mary Flores, Mr. Flores plans
1617 to continue his education by enrolling at Texas A&M
1718 University--Kingsville to study chemical engineering; and
1819 WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Derek Franklin
1920 Flores has earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and
2021 classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and
2122 commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
2223 opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be
2324 it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate Derek Franklin Flores,
2627 salutatorian of the Class of 2015 at Robstown High School, and
2728 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins
2829 the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Mr. Flores as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3132 House of Representatives.
