45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Phillip Galligan is graduating as the salutatorian
67 of the senior class of the Harold T. Branch Academy for Career and
78 Technical Education in Corpus Christi in 2015; and
89 WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
910 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
1011 highest academic standards; Mr. Galligan has demonstrated a
1112 thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, with his
1213 favorites being computer maintenance, networking, and theatre; in
1314 addition, he participated in numerous extracurricular activities,
1415 including CompTIA Certification and SkillsUSA; and
1516 WHEREAS, The son of James Galligan, Mr. Galligan plans to
1617 continue his education by enrolling at Texas A&M University--Corpus
1718 Christi to study computer science; and
1819 WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Phillip Galligan
1920 has earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and
2021 classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and
2122 commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
2223 opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be
2324 it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate Phillip Galligan, salutatorian of
2627 the Class of 2015 at the Harold T. Branch Academy for Career and
2728 Technical Education in Corpus Christi, and extend to him sincere
2829 best wishes for continued success as he begins the next exciting
2930 chapter of his life; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Mr. Galligan as an expression of high regard by the
3233 Texas House of Representatives.
