| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A graduate student in the Department of Civil, |

| 9 | 10 | | Architectural, and Environmental Engineering, Ms. Posa will |

| 10 | 11 | | receive three years of financial support within a five-year |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | fellowship period; the grant includes both a $34,000 annual stipend |

| 12 | 13 | | and a yearly cost-of-education allowance to the school; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The NSF Graduate Fellowship Program supports |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | identifying students early in their graduate careers who have the |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | potential for advancing knowledge in their disciplines; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Rebecca Posa has demonstrated an exceptional |

| 18 | 19 | | commitment to excellence in her field, and she may indeed look |
