| 7 | 8 | | the Borger community, Charles Edward Washburn Jr., 91, his wife, |

| 8 | 9 | | Vonnie Washburn, 87, and their daughter, Cheryl Anne Dacus, 56; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Caring parents and grandparents, Mr. and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Mrs. Washburn nurtured a loving family that included their 4 |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | children, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren; together |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | with their daughter, they drew inspiration from their strong |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | religious faith and were valued members of the First Baptist Church |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | of Borger; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Washburn was born in Foard on May 31, 1922, to |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Charles and Irene Washburn; he answered his country's call to duty |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | during World War II, serving in the navy with the 4th Special |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Battalion of the Seabees, and went on to enjoy a career as a |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | supervisor with Phillips Petroleum Company; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The former Vonnie Williamson, affectionately known |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | as "Bess," was born to Vaughn and Nan Williamson on March 1, 1926, |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | in Haskell County; a member of the Borger Music Club, she played |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | piano and organ in churches from an early age, and she further |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | contributed to her community as an election judge; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, The former Cheryl Anne Washburn was born on August |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | 5, 1957, in Borger; she served as the co-owner of Dakes Catering in |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | Borger and was also a past president of the Borger Music Club and a |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | member of the Boomtown Theater; she was involved in her church as a |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | nursery worker, Sunday school teacher, children's choir director, |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | and vacation Bible school organizer, and in addition, she coached |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | softball and taught swimming lessons; devoted to her husband, |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | David, and her three children, Angela, Emily, and Damon, she |
|---|
| 33 | 34 | | delighted all who knew her with her radiant smile and irrepressible |

| 34 | 35 | | laughter; and |
|---|
| 35 | 36 | | WHEREAS, Dedicated to their faith, their family, and their |

| 36 | 37 | | community, these three remarkable Texans were a blessing in many |

| 37 | 38 | | lives, and they will forever be remembered with great tenderness |

| 38 | 39 | | and affection by all those who held them dear; now, therefore, be it |
