5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |

6 | 7 | | passing of Albert Edward Baade Jr. of Tyler on April 6, 2014, at the |

7 | 8 | | age of 87; and |

8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Albert Baade was born in Dallas on April 30, 1926, to |
---|
9 | 10 | | Albert E. Baade Sr. and Jewell Bryant Baade; he served the United |
---|
10 | 11 | | States Navy with distinction in the Pacific theater during World |
---|
11 | 12 | | War II, earning two battle stars for his efforts, and after he |
---|
12 | 13 | | returned home, he earned his bachelor's degree from Baylor |
---|
13 | 14 | | University; and |
---|
14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Baade began his career in the oil industry as an |
---|
15 | 16 | | oil scout, working with his uncle, W. T. Bryant; a respected member |
---|
16 | 17 | | of the profession, he was a founding member of the East Texas |
---|
17 | 18 | | Association of Petroleum Landmen and an original board member of |
---|
18 | 19 | | the Tyler Petroleum Club; later, he was employed as the dean of |
---|
19 | 20 | | continuing education at Tyler Junior College, where he helped to |
---|
20 | 21 | | develop and organize a curriculum for the real estate and petroleum |
---|
21 | 22 | | landman program; and |

22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Baade enjoyed the love and |
---|
23 | 24 | | support of his wife, Elizabeth, with whom he shared 64 years before |
---|
24 | 25 | | her passing; he was also the proud father of a son, William Brandon, |
---|
25 | 26 | | and as his extended family grew, he delighted in spending time with |
---|
26 | 27 | | his grandchildren, Brandon, Carolyn, and Alexandra, and his |
---|
27 | 28 | | great-grandchildren, Savannah and William; and |
---|
28 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Although Albert Baade is deeply missed, memories of |
---|
29 | 30 | | his good humor, his enthusiasm, and his quiet strength remain to |
---|
30 | 31 | | comfort and inspire those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |
---|
31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Albert Edward Baade |

33 | 34 | | Jr. and extend heartfelt sympathy to his loved ones; and, be it |
