45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
67 passing of Albert Edward Baade Jr. of Tyler on April 6, 2014, at the
78 age of 87; and
89 WHEREAS, Albert Baade was born in Dallas on April 30, 1926, to
910 Albert E. Baade Sr. and Jewell Bryant Baade; he served the United
1011 States Navy with distinction in the Pacific theater during World
1112 War II, earning two battle stars for his efforts, and after he
1213 returned home, he earned his bachelor's degree from Baylor
1314 University; and
1415 WHEREAS, Mr. Baade began his career in the oil industry as an
1516 oil scout, working with his uncle, W. T. Bryant; a respected member
1617 of the profession, he was a founding member of the East Texas
1718 Association of Petroleum Landmen and an original board member of
1819 the Tyler Petroleum Club; later, he was employed as the dean of
1920 continuing education at Tyler Junior College, where he helped to
2021 develop and organize a curriculum for the real estate and petroleum
2122 landman program; and
2223 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Baade enjoyed the love and
2324 support of his wife, Elizabeth, with whom he shared 64 years before
2425 her passing; he was also the proud father of a son, William Brandon,
2526 and as his extended family grew, he delighted in spending time with
2627 his grandchildren, Brandon, Carolyn, and Alexandra, and his
2728 great-grandchildren, Savannah and William; and
2829 WHEREAS, Although Albert Baade is deeply missed, memories of
2930 his good humor, his enthusiasm, and his quiet strength remain to
3031 comfort and inspire those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
3132 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
3233 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Albert Edward Baade
3334 Jr. and extend heartfelt sympathy to his loved ones; and, be it
3435 further
3536 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3637 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
3738 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Albert
3839 Baade.
