45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The members of the Hondo High School FFA homesite
67 judging team distinguished themselves with their first place win at
78 the National Land and Range Judging Contest on May 7, 2015; and
89 WHEREAS, Competing against 52 other top squads from across
910 the country, the group emerged as national champions in the FFA
1011 homesite judging category; participants were required to
1112 accurately determine and calculate a number of factors and consider
1213 their impact on the suitability of a site for building a home; and
1314 WHEREAS, The Hondo team included Max Bales, Aaron Oefinger,
1415 Wesley Rogge, Ellie Jones, and Coye Rosenbaum, and they were ably
1516 guided by their advisors, Tim Tatsch, Rodger Welch, and Warren
1617 Beard; and
1718 WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the National Land and
1819 Range Judging Contest, the members of the Hondo High School FFA
1920 homesite judging team have brought credit to their school, and they
2021 may take justifiable pride in the talent and dedication they have
2122 demonstrated; now, therefore, be it
2223 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2324 Legislature hereby congratulate the Hondo High School FFA homesite
2425 judging team on its championship win at the National Land and Range
2526 Judging Contest and extend to its members sincere best wishes for
2627 the future; and, be it further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2930 House of Representatives.
