H.R. No. 2998
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The members of the Hondo High School FFA homesite
judging team distinguished themselves with their first place win at
the National Land and Range Judging Contest on May 7, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Competing against 52 other top squads from across
the country, the group emerged as national champions in the FFA
homesite judging category; participants were required to
accurately determine and calculate a number of factors and consider
their impact on the suitability of a site for building a home; and
WHEREAS, The Hondo team included Max Bales, Aaron Oefinger,
Wesley Rogge, Ellie Jones, and Coye Rosenbaum, and they were ably
guided by their advisors, Tim Tatsch, Rodger Welch, and Warren
Beard; and
WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the National Land and
Range Judging Contest, the members of the Hondo High School FFA
homesite judging team have brought credit to their school, and they
may take justifiable pride in the talent and dedication they have
demonstrated; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the Hondo High School FFA homesite
judging team on its championship win at the National Land and Range
Judging Contest and extend to its members sincere best wishes for
the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
