H.R. No. 310 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Paul Joseph Scioli Jr. of Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 157 in Lubbock has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding criteria, Mr. Scioli earned the requisite 21 merit badges and served his troop as patrol leader and chaplain's aide; he also successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his community, which included making vital improvements to a storage closet at a local Boys and Girls Club; and WHEREAS, The son of Paul and Sharon Scioli, this fine young Texan has further distinguished himself as a dedicated student and athlete; a member of the National Honor Society, he is ranked among the top honor roll students in his senior class at Coronado High School, where he has participated in baseball, football, and basketball; and WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Scioli's dedication to excellence and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Paul Joseph Scioli Jr. on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Eagle Scout Scioli as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
