H.R. No. 3136 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The girls' relay team from Hardin-Jefferson High School in Sour Lake achieved great distinction by winning the silver medal in the Class 4A 4x100-meter relay at the 2015 University Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 16, the relay team of Taylor Aldrich, Wreagan Taylor, Katelyn Holland, and Raegan Padgett finished the race with an impressive time of 47.81 seconds to claim runner-up honors; moreover, these four talented student-athletes also went on to compete in the 4x200-meter relay event at the state meet; and WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for high school track & field athletes, the members of the Hardin-Jefferson High School girls' relay team have ably represented their school, and they will cherish their memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the girls' relay team from Hardin-Jefferson High School on their second-place finish in the Class 4A 4x100-meter relay and their participation in the 4x200-meter relay at the 2015 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the athletes as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
