H.R. No. 3150 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Jingyu Liao has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Roberto R. Alonzo during the 84th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Liao has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as editing bill analyses, managing the calendar, greeting constituents, and preparing materials for hearings; she was also responsible for collecting data, establishing a policy portfolio, and interviewing the advocate for House Bill 451; in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained valuable experience in the field of public service; and WHEREAS, Ms. Liao is graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2015 with a master of education degree in educational policy and planning; she previously earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from Shandong University at Weihai in China in 2012; she founded her own service organization, the Association of Suncial Workers, in 2011, and she is currently an intern at PenPal Schools, where she develops curriculum and translates between Chinese and English; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby commend Jingyu Liao for her service as a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Roberto R. Alonzo and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Liao as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
