| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dallas Arthur Lee graduated from Stephen F. Austin |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Under the direction of Dr. Beatrice A. Clack in the |

| 9 | 10 | | department of biology and biotechnology, Mr. Lee completed a |

| 10 | 11 | | two-year program of academic course work and conducted research to |

| 11 | 12 | | help find a unique compound that would advance the search for a cure |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | for colon cancer; his major research project was titled "Rumex |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Crispus Phytochemicals: Chemopreventative Potential for Human |

| 14 | 15 | | Colon Carcinoma"; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Lee earned a bachelor's degree in geography in |

| 16 | 17 | | 2008 and a bachelor's degree in biology in 2011, both from The |

| 17 | 18 | | University of Texas at Austin; a 2003 graduate of St. Michael's |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Catholic Academy in Austin, he played on the Crusaders football |

| 19 | 20 | | team for four years; he was also a dedicated member of Boy Scout |

| 20 | 21 | | Troop No. 70, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in 2000; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, During the 81st Legislative Session, Mr. Lee |

| 22 | 23 | | further distinguished himself through his work in the |

| 23 | 24 | | sergeant-at-arms office for the Texas House of Representatives; and |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Dallas Lee has proven himself to be an outstanding |

| 25 | 26 | | scholar and researcher, and his impressive achievements have earned |

| 26 | 27 | | him the lasting respect of his peers, his family, and his friends; |
