H.R. No. 3245
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carsen Meredith Hartung of Humble has received an
Academic All-American award, and this presents a welcome
opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of this outstanding
young Texan; and
WHEREAS, The Academic All-American award is given to a
student-athlete who has earned straight As for two consecutive
years on entering middle school; and
WHEREAS, A seventh grade student at Atascocita Middle School,
Ms. Hartung has excelled in her schoolwork while also competing on
the volleyball, basketball, and track teams; additionally, she is
involved with the National Charity League and National Junior Honor
Society, and she is a valued congregant at Woodlands Church; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of James Linus and Lea Meredith
Hartung, Carsen Hartung has proven herself to be an exemplary
student and a skilled athlete, and she may indeed look forward to a
future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Carsen Meredith Hartung on her
receipt of an Academic All-American award and extend to her sincere
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Hartung as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
