| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Daniela Urias has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Urias has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |

| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; her duties |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | included serving as a constituent liaison and contributing to |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | immigration-related issues; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Ms. Urias is studying political |

| 16 | 17 | | science and international relations at The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | El Paso, where she is a member of the Excel Program and the Student |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Government Association; she devotes her free time to painting, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | reading, and community service, and her career goals include |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | working at the United Nations or in the diplomatic service as an |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | ambassador; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 23 | 24 | | duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 24 | 25 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
