H.R. No. 3248
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Daniela Urias has ably served her fellow Texans as
an aide in the district office of State Representative Joe Moody
during the 84th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Urias has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained
valuable experience in the field of public service; her duties
included serving as a constituent liaison and contributing to
immigration-related issues; and
WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Ms. Urias is studying political
science and international relations at The University of Texas at
El Paso, where she is a member of the Excel Program and the Student
Government Association; she devotes her free time to painting,
reading, and community service, and her career goals include
working at the United Nations or in the diplomatic service as an
ambassador; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Daniela Urias for her service as a
legislative aide in the district office of State Representative Joe
Moody and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in
all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Urias as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
