45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Harriet Sedgwick has ably served her fellow Texans
67 as an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during
78 the 84th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Sedgwick has provided
910 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1011 in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
1112 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained
1213 valuable experience in the field of public service; and
1314 WHEREAS, Ms. Sedgwick holds a bachelor's degree in political
1415 studies and global and international studies from Bard College; she
1516 has previously worked with Battleground Texas, the New York City
1617 Council, Organizing for America in Pennsylvania, and The White
1718 House Project; and
1819 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
1920 duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is
2021 indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
2122 therefore, be it
2223 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2324 Legislature hereby commend Harriet Sedgwick for her service as a
2425 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner
2526 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
2627 her endeavors; and, be it further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for Ms. Sedgwick as an expression of high regard by the
2930 Texas House of Representatives.
