| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Harriet Sedgwick has ably served her fellow Texans |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Sedgwick has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |

| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sedgwick holds a bachelor's degree in political |

| 14 | 15 | | studies and global and international studies from Bard College; she |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | has previously worked with Battleground Texas, the New York City |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Council, Organizing for America in Pennsylvania, and The White |

| 17 | 18 | | House Project; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 19 | 20 | | duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | Legislature hereby commend Harriet Sedgwick for her service as a |
