No. 3265 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Harriet Sedgwick has ably served her fellow Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during the 84th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Sedgwick has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained valuable experience in the field of public service; and WHEREAS, Ms. Sedgwick holds a bachelor's degree in political studies and global and international studies from Bard College; she has previously worked with Battleground Texas, the New York City Council, Organizing for America in Pennsylvania, and The White House Project; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby commend Harriet Sedgwick for her service as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Sedgwick as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
