H.R. No. 3285
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jocelyn Leon is graduating from Pasadena Early
College High School on June 4, 2015; and
WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum,
Ms. Leon has completed an accelerated course of study in which she
has earned both a high school diploma and an associate's degree of
science in mathematics from San Jacinto Community College; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Leon also participated in a number of
extracurricular activities at PECHS, competing with the school's
Academic Decathlon team and serving as a member of the National Art
Honor Society; upon graduation, she plans to continue her education
at Texas A&M University, where she will study chemical engineering;
and
WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, this accomplished young
Texan has distinguished herself through her skill and
determination, and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired
along the way will serve her well in the years to come; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jocelyn Leon on her graduation from
Pasadena Early College High School as a member of the Class of 2015
and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Leon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
