| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 6 | 7 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Arthur and Bernice Boyd |

| 7 | 8 | | of Omaha celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |

| 8 | 9 | | November 28, 2014; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd were joined in matrimony in 1944; |

| 10 | 11 | | they became the parents of three beloved sons, Larry, Phillip, and |

| 11 | 12 | | Jimmy, and through the years, their treasured family has grown to |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | include their daughters-in-law, Janie, Connie, and Bonnie, as well |

| 13 | 14 | | as 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 |

| 14 | 15 | | great-great-grandchildren; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The couple lived in Lubbock before settling in |

| 16 | 17 | | Kress, where they farmed for more than three decades; they later |

| 17 | 18 | | moved to Omaha in northeast Texas, where they are now enjoying |

| 18 | 19 | | retirement; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd have enjoyed seven decades of |

| 20 | 21 | | abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |

| 22 | 23 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
