45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Captain Gary Boshears was honored as Officer of the
67 Year of the Granite Shoals Police Department at the Hill Country 100
78 Club Membership/Awards Banquet on January 15, 2015; and
89 WHEREAS, Founded in 2002, the Hill Country 100 Club provides
910 valuable support to first responders in Central Texas; each year,
1011 the organization's awards banquet honors outstanding peace
1112 officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and support
1213 staff in Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and Lampasas Counties; and
1314 WHEREAS, Captain Boshears followed in his father's footsteps
1415 and began pursuing a career in law enforcement at the age of 18; he
1516 has served with the Granite Shoals Police Department for the past
1617 nine years, and he was promoted to his current rank in 2013; and
1718 WHEREAS, Through his dedication to duty, Gary Boshears
1819 exemplifies the highest ideals of his profession and contributes
1920 immeasurably to the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens;
2021 now, therefore, be it
2122 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2223 Legislature hereby congratulate Captain Gary Boshears on his
2324 selection as the Hill Country 100 Club Officer of the Year for the
2425 Granite Shoals Police Department and extend to him sincere best
2526 wishes for continued success with his important work; and, be it
2627 further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for Captain Boshears as an expression of high regard by the
2930 Texas House of Representatives.
