 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Representatives of Texas affiliates of Easter Seals
 are visiting the State Capitol on March 11, 2015; and
 WHEREAS, Since its expansion to the state more than 75 years
 ago, Easter Seals has become an important resource for Texas
 children and adults with developmental disabilities; dedicated to
 helping individuals achieve greater independence and productivity,
 the organization offers outpatient medical rehabilitation,
 including occupational, physical, and speech and language therapy,
 as well as workforce development, respite care, and social
 services; and
 WHEREAS, This vital group is also committed to early
 identification and early intervention, services designed to give
 young people at risk of developmental delay, physical and mental
 disabilities, or autism the support they need to build essential
 skills; and
 WHEREAS, Easter Seals has helped to empower countless
 citizens to lead productive and rewarding lives, and its endeavors
 truly benefit the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby recognize March 11, 2015, as Texas Easter Seals
 Day at the State Capitol and commend all those associated with the
 organization for their important work.
