 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Lauren Cochran, a sophomore at Lumberton High
 School, was one of the select number of athletes who participated in
 the University Interscholastic League Swimming & Diving State Meet,
 held on February 20 and 21, 2015, at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas
 Swimming Center in Austin; and
 WHEREAS, Competing against some of the most talented swimmers
 from across the state, Ms. Cochran raced in the 5A 200-yard
 freestyle preliminaries before finishing in eighth place in the
 consolation finals with a time of 1 minute, 58.18 seconds; and
 WHEREAS, This gifted young Texan has enjoyed great success as
 a member of the swim team at Lumberton High, capturing District
 22-4A titles in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events during
 her freshman year; moreover, she qualified for the 2015 state meet
 after winning the 200-yard freestyle at regionals with a personal
 best time of 1:57.56; and
 WHEREAS, Through her hard work and enduring commitment to
 excellence, Lauren Cochran has earned a place among the top high
 school swimmers in the Lone Star State, and she is indeed deserving
 of special recognition for her achievements; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Lauren Cochran on her
 participation in the 2015 UIL Swimming & Diving State Meet and
 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Cochran as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
