| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jack McLaughlin, a senior at Calallen High School in |

| 8 | 9 | | Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin on February 20 |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Making his fourth consecutive appearance in the |

| 11 | 12 | | state competition, Mr. McLaughlin recorded a time of 1 minute, |

| 12 | 13 | | 39.85 seconds, in the 5A 200-yard freestyle event to take home the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | silver medal; he followed that impressive performance with another |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | fine showing in the 100-yard butterfly race, finishing in second |

| 15 | 16 | | place with a time of 50.49 seconds to capture his second medal of |

| 16 | 17 | | the meet; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, This gifted young Texan will continue his career as |

| 18 | 19 | | a student-athlete at Texas Christian University, where he will |

| 19 | 20 | | compete as a member of the Horned Frogs swimming and diving program; |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Through hard work and superb athletic ability, Jack |

| 22 | 23 | | McLaughlin has earned a place among the top high school swimmers in |
