| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Bruce C. Rudy, an assistant professor of |

| 7 | 8 | | been named a recipient of a 2014 Outstanding Teaching Award by The |

| 8 | 9 | | University of Texas System Board of Regents; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Bruce Rudy discovered his calling as an educator in |

| 10 | 11 | | 2009, when he began his first teaching assignment while a doctoral |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | student at The University of Texas at Austin; after completing his |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | doctorate in strategic management, he joined the faculty of The |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | University of Texas at San Antonio in 2011; since then, he has |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | consistently scored high instructor ratings, demonstrating the |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | great admiration and respect he inspires in his students; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, In addition to teaching, Dr. Rudy is a valued member |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | of several UTSA organizations, and he serves as a conference paper |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | reviewer for the Academy of Management, which recognized him in |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | 2009 with the Best Reviewer Award; furthermore, he received the |

| 20 | 21 | | Fred Moore Assistant Instructor Award for Teaching Excellence in |

| 21 | 22 | | 2010 from The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of |

| 22 | 23 | | Business, and his research has been published in the Journal of |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Rudy enjoys the love and support of his wife, |

| 25 | 26 | | Lydia, and their three children in all his endeavors; he resides |

| 26 | 27 | | with his family in Dripping Springs; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Bruce Rudy has shown himself to be a dedicated and |

| 28 | 29 | | creative educator, and he has equipped many students with the |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | knowledge and critical-thinking skills necessary to thrive in the |

| 30 | 31 | | corporate world; now, therefore, be it |

| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Bruce C. Rudy on his receipt of |
