A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the authority of the Texas Department of Transportation
to enter into a design-build contract for the Interstate Highway
635 East project.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 223, Transportation Code,
is amended by adding Section 223.251 to read as follows:
Sec. 223.251. INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 635 EAST PROJECT. The
department may enter into a design-build contract under Section
223.242 for the Interstate Highway 635 East project from U.S.
Highway 75 to Interstate Highway 30 if the department does not
operate any portion of the project as a toll project.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect August 31, 2015.
