 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to a prohibition against an employer providing certain
 employee information to a labor union.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 101, Labor Code, is
 amended by adding Section 101.005 to read as follows:
 Sec. 101.005.  RIGHT TO PRIVACY. An employer may not provide
 to a labor union, other than a labor union that is the exclusive
 representative of the employee, any personal information of an
 employee, including an employee's:
 (1)  name;
 (2)  job classification;
 (3)  department;
 (4)  salary;
 (5)  telephone number;
 (6)  e-mail address; and
 (7)  home address.
 SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
