15 | 15 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

16 | 16 | | SECTION 1. Section 141.032, Local Government Code, is |

17 | 17 | | amended to read as follows: |

18 | 18 | | Sec. 141.032. LONGEVITY PAY. In a municipality with a |

19 | 19 | | population of 10,000 or more, each member of the fire or police |
---|
20 | 20 | | department is entitled to receive, in addition to all other money |
---|
21 | 21 | | paid for services rendered in the department, longevity pay of at |
---|
22 | 22 | | least $4 a month for each year of service in the department[, not to |
---|
23 | 23 | | exceed 25 years]. |

24 | 24 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
