A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the election of the board of directors of the Fisher
County Hospital District.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 1027.051(c), Special District Local Laws
Code, is amended to read as follows:
(c) An election shall be held on the uniform election date
in November [May] of each year to elect the appropriate number of
directors.
SECTION 2. The board of directors of the Fisher County
Hospital District shall adjust the terms of office of directors to
conform to the change in the election date made by this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
