| 13 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 14 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 411, Government Code, is |

| 15 | 15 | | amended by adding Section 411.14065 to read as follows: |

| 16 | 16 | | Sec. 411.14065. ACCESS TO CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | INFORMATION: COUNTY TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR. A county tax |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | assessor-collector is entitled to obtain from the department |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | criminal history record information maintained by the department |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | that relates to a person who is an applicant for a motor vehicle |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | title service license issued under Subchapter E, Chapter 520, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Transportation Code. |

| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
