13 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

14 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 411, Government Code, is |
---|
15 | 15 | | amended by adding Section 411.14065 to read as follows: |

16 | 16 | | Sec. 411.14065. ACCESS TO CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD |
---|
17 | 17 | | INFORMATION: COUNTY TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR. A county tax |
---|
18 | 18 | | assessor-collector is entitled to obtain from the department |
---|
19 | 19 | | criminal history record information maintained by the department |
---|
20 | 20 | | that relates to a person who is an applicant for a motor vehicle |
---|
21 | 21 | | title service license issued under Subchapter E, Chapter 520, |
---|
22 | 22 | | Transportation Code. |

23 | 23 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
---|
24 | 24 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
---|
25 | 25 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
---|
26 | 26 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
---|
27 | 27 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
