99 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1010 AN ACT
1111 relating to access to criminal history record information by a
1212 county tax assessor-collector.
1313 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1414 SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 411, Government Code, is
1515 amended by adding Section 411.14065 to read as follows:
1616 Sec. 411.14065. ACCESS TO CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD
1717 INFORMATION: COUNTY TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR. A county tax
1818 assessor-collector is entitled to obtain from the department
1919 criminal history record information maintained by the department
2020 that relates to a person who is an applicant for a motor vehicle
2121 title service license issued under Subchapter E, Chapter 520,
2222 Transportation Code.
2323 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2424 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2525 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2626 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2727 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
