A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to requirements for the electronic filing of reports of
political contributions and expenditures by certain officeholders
and candidates.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 254.036, Election Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (h-1) to read as follows:
(h-1) This section does not require a report filed under
this chapter by electronic transfer with an authority other than
the commission to include a notarized affidavit, provided that the
report is filed in accordance with rules and procedures adopted by
the authority that requires the person filing the report to
establish their identity by means of a secure electronic filing
password.
