1010 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1111 AN ACT
1212 relating to funding for an open-enrollment charter school based on
1313 average amounts collected by school districts under the
1414 instructional facilities allotment and the existing debt
1515 allotment.
1616 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1717 SECTION 1. Section 12.106, Education Code, is amended by
1818 adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
1919 (d) In addition to other amounts provided by this section, a
2020 charter holder is entitled to receive for the open-enrollment
2121 charter school funding per student in average daily attendance in
2222 an amount equal to the state average amount of revenue per student
2323 in average daily attendance collected by independent school
2424 districts under Sections 46.003(a) and 46.032(a).
2525 SECTION 2. Section 12.106(d), Education Code, as added by
2626 this Act, applies to funding per student in average daily
2727 attendance at an open-enrollment charter school for the 2015-2016
2828 and 2016-2017 school years only if the 84th Legislature makes a
2929 specific appropriation to implement that provision.
3030 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
