| 15 | 15 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | is amended by adding Section 225.102 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Sec. 225.102. CHRIS KYLE AND CHAD LITTLEFIELD MEMORIAL |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | HIGHWAY. (a) Notwithstanding Section 225.001(c), the portion of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | U.S. Highway 287 in Midlothian between its intersection with Rex |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Odom Drive and its intersection with Kimble Road is designated as |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield Memorial Highway. The |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | designation is in addition to any other designation. |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | designation as the Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield Memorial Highway |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | and any other appropriate information; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
