SENATE RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, Regular Session, 2015, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on
Senate Joint Resolution 5 (proposing a constitutional amendment
dedicating a portion of the revenue derived from the state sales
and use tax and the tax imposed on the sale, use, or rental of a
motor vehicle to the state highway fund) to consider and take
action on the following matter:
Senate Rule 12.03(1) is suspended to permit the committee
to change text not in disagreement in proposed SECTION 3 of the
resolution to read as follows:
This proposed constitutional amendment shall be submitted to the
voters at an election to be held November 3, 2015.
Explanation: This change is necessary to provide that the
election on the proposed constitutional amendment will be held on
November 3, 2015.
