SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1076 In Memory of Pedro Saucedo WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of Pedro Saucedo, who died on May 10, 2015, at the age of 77; and WHEREAS, Pete Saucedo was born on November 18, 1937, in Hebbronville, to Efigenia and Sotero Saucedo; he grew up in Kingsville, where he enjoyed playing football during his years in school; he later served his country as a member of the National Guard; and WHEREAS, He was an exemplary gentleman and a generous, kindhearted person who was respected for his accomplishments; he was devoted to his wife, Amparo Dalila Saucedo, who preceded him in death, and to his four children, Marcus Antony Saucedo, Noe Javier Saucedo, Daniel Eduardo Saucedo, and Sharon Rebekah Casas, and his four grandchildren, Jesse James Casas, Sonny Casas, Andrea Saucedo, and Aria Saucedo; and WHEREAS, He was a deeply devout Christian, and his faith was a source of strength for him and for family members, particularly during his later years; and WHEREAS, Pete Saucedo gave unselfishly of his time to others and was beloved by many, and he will long be remembered with affection and appreciation by all who were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Pedro Saucedo; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Pete Saucedo.
