| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the members and graduates of Leadership Montague |

| 4 | 4 | | County on the occasion of their visit to the State Capitol, which |

| 5 | 5 | | is taking place February 17 and 18, 2015; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Montague County was founded in 2011 to |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | cultivate leadership qualities among citizens and to make the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | county a better place to live, learn, work, and recreate; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Led by charter member and retired Montague County |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Judge Tommie Sappington and current Montague County Judge Rick |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Lewis, this nonprofit organization provides an interactive |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | learning program and is designed to enhance the quality of life |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | in the Montague County area; it inspires a spirit of community |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and provides participants with networking opportunities across a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | large rural area and throughout the state; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Graduates of the program will join the ranks of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | other leadership groups in Texas that enhance the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | entrepreneurial, cultural, and governmental capacities of our |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | state by enabling members to exchange insights with experienced |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | leaders in the public and private sectors; the members of the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Leadership Montague County class of 2014 and 2015 are truly |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | deserving of recognition on their first visit to Austin; now, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby commend Leadership Montague County for its |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | strong commitment to community service and extend to its members |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | a warm welcome to the State Capitol; and, be it further |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
