| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dorothy "Dot" Huffman on the grand occasion of her 90th |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A woman of great charm and grace, Dorothy Huffman |

| 6 | 6 | | is well known for her generosity of spirit, and she is a revered |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | citizen of this state; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, She has lived through times and experienced |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | events that many people only know from history books; her life |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | has given her a unique perspective on current events, and there |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | is much to be learned from the wisdom she has gained over the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | years; and |

| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Huffman has been blessed with a wonderful |

| 14 | 14 | | family, which has been a source of much pride and joy for her; and |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of her community, |

| 16 | 16 | | Mrs. Huffman is noted for her warmth, her wit, and her wise |

| 17 | 17 | | counsel, and she inspires those around her with her enthusiasm |

| 18 | 18 | | for living each day to the fullest; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to Dorothy "Dot" Huffman and |

| 21 | 21 | | extend to her best wishes for a memorable 90th birthday |

| 22 | 22 | | celebration; and, be it further |
