SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 329
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Dorothy "Dot" Huffman on the grand occasion of her 90th
birthday; and
WHEREAS, A woman of great charm and grace, Dorothy Huffman
is well known for her generosity of spirit, and she is a revered
citizen of this state; and
WHEREAS, She has lived through times and experienced
events that many people only know from history books; her life
has given her a unique perspective on current events, and there
is much to be learned from the wisdom she has gained over the
years; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Huffman has been blessed with a wonderful
family, which has been a source of much pride and joy for her; and
WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of her community,
Mrs. Huffman is noted for her warmth, her wit, and her wise
counsel, and she inspires those around her with her enthusiasm
for living each day to the fullest; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to Dorothy "Dot" Huffman and
extend to her best wishes for a memorable 90th birthday
celebration; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as a memento of this milestone in her life.
