| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Gabriela and |

| 3 | 3 | | Guillermo Hoyos placed great faith and trust in one another, and |

| 4 | 4 | | they have been amply rewarded, as they recently celebrated their |

| 5 | 5 | | 25th wedding anniversary; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Gabriela and Guillermo were married on September |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 1, 1989, in Puebla, Mexico, after a five-year courtship; the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | world has changed considerably during the years of their marriage, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | yet they have continued to cherish traditional values; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, They have been blessed with a loving and devoted |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | daughter, Karla, who has brought them much pride and joy; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The family moved to San Antonio in 1994 to pursue |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | business opportunities; Guillermo, known for his passion for the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | culture and artistic values of his native Mexico, was asked to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | take up the challenge of working on the Museo Alameda; throughout |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | his career, he has been fortunate to have Gabriela at his side as |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | a source of invaluable support and encouragement; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Through the years, Gabriela and Guillermo have |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | grown stronger in their love and devotion to one another, as |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | living; the long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Hoyos is truly an |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | inspiration to all; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Gabriela and Guillermo |

| 25 | 25 | | Hoyos on their 25th wedding anniversary; and, be it further |
