                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 40
 WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Gabriela and
 Guillermo Hoyos placed great faith and trust in one another, and
 they have been amply rewarded, as they recently celebrated their
 25th wedding anniversary; and
 WHEREAS, Gabriela and Guillermo were married on September
 1, 1989, in Puebla, Mexico, after a five-year courtship; the
 world has changed considerably during the years of their marriage,
 yet they have continued to cherish traditional values; and
 WHEREAS, They have been blessed with a loving and devoted
 daughter, Karla, who has brought them much pride and joy; and
 WHEREAS, The family moved to San Antonio in 1994 to pursue
 business opportunities; Guillermo, known for his passion for the
 culture and artistic values of his native Mexico, was asked to
 take up the challenge of working on the Museo Alameda; throughout
 his career, he has been fortunate to have Gabriela at his side as
 a source of invaluable support and encouragement; and
 WHEREAS, Through the years, Gabriela and Guillermo have
 grown stronger in their love and devotion to one another, as
 together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday
 living; the long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Hoyos is truly an
 inspiration to all; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
 Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Gabriela and Guillermo
 Hoyos on their 25th wedding anniversary; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 this distinguished couple as an expression of esteem from the
 Texas Senate.
