SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 410
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
join citizens from across the state in celebrating Firefighters
and Paramedics Day at the State Capitol on March 31, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Firefighters and paramedics are stewards of Texas
communities, and they work courageously as first responders to
protect and assist their fellow citizens in times of crisis; and
WHEREAS, These dedicated public servants have saved
thousands of lives and prevented innumerable injuries in the face
of great hazards and at the risk of their own safety; many have
made the ultimate sacrifice and perished in the line of duty; and
WHEREAS, Firefighters and paramedics in our state strive
to serve the public with courage, commitment, and compassion, and
they further serve their communities through charitable
activities and educational endeavors; they are indeed deserving
of recognition for their selfless work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend firefighters and paramedics
throughout the state for their dedication and service and extend
best wishes to them for a memorable Firefighters and Paramedics
Day at the State Capitol; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as a
memento of this special day.
