| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System is a Catholic |

| 6 | 6 | | institution that provides not-for-profit medical care to San |

| 7 | 7 | | Antonio and the surrounding region; founded in 1869 by the Sisters |

| 8 | 8 | | of Charity of the Incarnate Word, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa continues the |

| 9 | 9 | | order's healing ministry through five full-service hospitals and a |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | number of specialty centers treating both adults and children; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, In an effort to extend its reach to even more young |

| 12 | 12 | | patients, the system is transforming its campus in the heart of |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | downtown San Antonio into a world-class, freestanding children's |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | hospital; the revamped facility will boast expanded programs, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | services, and research capabilities, further enhancing CHRISTUS |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Santa Rosa's reputation as a premier source of pediatric care; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, This worthy new undertaking benefits from a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | partnership with Baylor College of Medicine, one of the leading |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | medical schools in the United States; the college has pledged to |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | recruit more than 170 pediatric specialists to the Children's |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Hospital of San Antonio to offer expertise in oncology, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, surgery, and other |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | disciplines; the first 10 members of Baylor's new pediatric |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | residency program based at the hospital are slated to begin their |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | training in July; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System has long served |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | as a beacon of hope in the San Antonio community, and on this |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | special occasion, it is indeed fitting to honor the tireless |

| 29 | 29 | | commitment of its administrators, physicians, and staff to |
|---|
