| 3 | 3 | | recognize Chief Warrant Officer Dale Luke Smiley, who is retiring |

| 4 | 4 | | from the United States Navy after more than 23 years of |

| 5 | 5 | | distinguished service; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The men and women of America's armed forces work |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | daily to ensure the peace and prosperity of the nation, and Chief |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Warrant Officer Smiley has carried out his duties with the utmost |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | care and courage; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, This native Texas son has served with the Naval |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Special Warfare Group 10, and he is being honored with a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | retirement ceremony on May 29, 2015; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Through his unwavering commitment to duty, Chief |

| 14 | 14 | | Warrant Officer Smiley has embodied the highest ideals of the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | armed services, and his patriotism has been inspirational to |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | others; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Legislature, hereby commend Chief Warrant Officer Dale Luke |

| 19 | 19 | | Smiley for his years of outstanding service to the nation and |

| 20 | 20 | | extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
