SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 446
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Chief Warrant Officer Dale Luke Smiley, who is retiring
from the United States Navy after more than 23 years of
distinguished service; and
WHEREAS, The men and women of America's armed forces work
daily to ensure the peace and prosperity of the nation, and Chief
Warrant Officer Smiley has carried out his duties with the utmost
care and courage; and
WHEREAS, This native Texas son has served with the Naval
Special Warfare Group 10, and he is being honored with a
retirement ceremony on May 29, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Through his unwavering commitment to duty, Chief
Warrant Officer Smiley has embodied the highest ideals of the
armed services, and his patriotism has been inspirational to
others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend Chief Warrant Officer Dale Luke
Smiley for his years of outstanding service to the nation and
extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
