| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay |

| 3 | 3 | | tribute to Daisy L. Jones on the grand occasion of her 100th |

| 4 | 4 | | birthday; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A woman of charm and grace, Daisy Jones is well |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | known for her kindness and her generosity of spirit, and she is a |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | beloved member of the Calvert community; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, She was born April 16, 1915, and she has lived |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | through times and experienced events that many people only know |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | about from history books; there is much to be learned from the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | wisdom she has gained over the years; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Daisy has been blessed with a wonderful family, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and her five children, 16 grandchildren, and numerous |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | great-grandchildren have been a source of immense pride and joy |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | for her; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, She is noted for her warmth, her wit, and her wise |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | counsel, and she inspires those around her with her enthusiasm |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | for living each day to the fullest; she has enjoyed sewing and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | knitting and serving as secretary of Providence Baptist Church; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to Daisy L. Jones and extend to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | her best wishes for a memorable 100th birthday; and, be it further |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | as a memento of this milestone in her life. |
