1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 524
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	recognize the Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center and
4	4	to honor the memory of Colton Turner Pelfrey on the occasion of
5	5	Child Abuse Prevention Month; and
6	6	WHEREAS, The Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center
7	7	is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe environment in
8	8	which children can disclose abuse and receive professional
9	9	mental health services; the center works with investigative and
10	10	protective agencies to ensure comprehensive and conscientious
11	11	support to children in need; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Colton Turner Pelfrey was a young toddler whose
13	13	life was tragically cut short; though it is impossible to change
14	14	the circumstances of his brief life or to fully heal the
15	15	heartache experienced by his loved ones, the Williamson County
16	16	Children's Advocacy Center is honoring his memory by dedicating a
17	17	special play area that will be known as Colton's Way and will
18	18	benefit the children who pass through the center's doors in the
19	19	future; and
20	20	WHEREAS, The renovated play rooms were made possible
21	21	through an outpouring of support from the community; the
22	22	dedication of this special play area is taking place April 17,
23	23	2015, as part of the center's observance of Child Abuse
24	24	Prevention Month; now, therefore, be it
25	25	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
26	26	Legislature, hereby commend all those associated with the
27	27	Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center for their work on
28	28	behalf of children and for honoring the memory of Colton Turner
29	29	Pelfrey through the dedication of the Colton's Way play area;
30	30	and, be it further
31	31	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared to
32	32	commemorate the dedication of Colton's Way.
