                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 524
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize the Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center and
 to honor the memory of Colton Turner Pelfrey on the occasion of
 Child Abuse Prevention Month; and
 WHEREAS, The Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center
 is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe environment in
 which children can disclose abuse and receive professional
 mental health services; the center works with investigative and
 protective agencies to ensure comprehensive and conscientious
 support to children in need; and
 WHEREAS, Colton Turner Pelfrey was a young toddler whose
 life was tragically cut short; though it is impossible to change
 the circumstances of his brief life or to fully heal the
 heartache experienced by his loved ones, the Williamson County
 Children's Advocacy Center is honoring his memory by dedicating a
 special play area that will be known as Colton's Way and will
 benefit the children who pass through the center's doors in the
 future; and
 WHEREAS, The renovated play rooms were made possible
 through an outpouring of support from the community; the
 dedication of this special play area is taking place April 17,
 2015, as part of the center's observance of Child Abuse
 Prevention Month; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
 Legislature, hereby commend all those associated with the
 Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center for their work on
 behalf of children and for honoring the memory of Colton Turner
 Pelfrey through the dedication of the Colton's Way play area;
 and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared to
 commemorate the dedication of Colton's Way.
