4	4	Jorge Alfonso Moreno
5	5	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
6	6	citizens of Brownsville in mourning the loss of Jorge Alfonso
7	7	Moreno, who died November 12, 2014, at the age of 76; and
8	8	WHEREAS, George Moreno was born on October 22, 1938, and
9	9	was a beloved resident of the Rio Grande Valley; he enriched the
10	10	lives of others through his warmth and vitality and his
11	11	enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; and
12	12	WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Army and the
13	13	National Guard, he became a successful entrepreneur who owned and
14	14	operated George's Electronics Mart, Incorporated; he also served
15	15	as a supervisor for the Cameron County Collections Division; and
16	16	WHEREAS, A man of deep spiritual devotion, Mr. Moreno
17	17	attended Saint Mary's Church, and he was active in the community
18	18	as a member of the Knights of Columbus and the West Brownsville
19	19	Lion's Club; he was an avid fisherman and hunter; and
20	20	WHEREAS, He shared a life of love with his wife, Maria de la
21	21	Conception Moreno, and they were blessed with four children and
22	22	four grandchildren who were a source of great pride and joy; and
23	23	WHEREAS, He was a man of integrity and strength who was
24	24	respected and admired by many, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued
25	25	counsel will long be remembered by all who were privileged to
26	26	share in his life; now, therefore, be it
27	27	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
28	28	Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
29	29	family of Jorge Alfonso Moreno; and, be it further
30	30	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
31	31	his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
32	32	Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
33	33	memory of Jorge Moreno.
