| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | citizens of San Pedro in mourning the loss of Cesario P. "Pete" |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Leal, who died October 18, 2013, at the age of 68; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Pete Leal was an exemplary citizen who was widely |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | respected and admired in his community for his achievements and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | for his dedication to his family; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Pete Leal was born in San Pedro to the late |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Francisca and Melquiades Leal, and he made the city his home |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | throughout his life; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Leal and his beloved wife of 52 years, Corina |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | G. Leal, raised six daughters together, and they were blessed |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | with 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | gave generously to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | counsel will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | share in his life; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | his family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | family of Cesario P. Leal; and, be it further |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | memory of Cesario P. Leal. |
