SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 542
In Memory
of
Cesario P. Leal
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
citizens of San Pedro in mourning the loss of Cesario P. "Pete"
Leal, who died October 18, 2013, at the age of 68; and
WHEREAS, Pete Leal was an exemplary citizen who was widely
respected and admired in his community for his achievements and
for his dedication to his family; and
WHEREAS, Pete Leal was born in San Pedro to the late
Francisca and Melquiades Leal, and he made the city his home
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Leal and his beloved wife of 52 years, Corina
G. Leal, raised six daughters together, and they were blessed
with 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he
gave generously to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued
counsel will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to
share in his life; and
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather,
and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by
his family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
family of Cesario P. Leal; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
memory of Cesario P. Leal.
