| 7 | 7 | | organization's annual state cook-offs, and it features lively |

| 8 | 8 | | competition and good eating; skilled pit masters put their |

| 9 | 9 | | talents to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest smoked |

| 10 | 10 | | meats, with cash prizes going to the top finishers; and |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, This highly anticipated get-together has taken |

| 12 | 12 | | place each year since 2010 and offers area residents and visitors |

| 13 | 13 | | alike an opportunity to sample some excellent food while |

| 14 | 14 | | supporting a worthy cause; proceeds are used to fund the Bishop |

| 15 | 15 | | Chamber of Commerce scholarship program, which benefits deserving |

| 16 | 16 | | seniors at Bishop High School; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A fun-filled event for people of all ages, the |

| 18 | 18 | | Wild Horse Desert Round-Up BBQ Cook-Off has become a popular |

| 19 | 19 | | celebration of Texas-style food and is all the more special for |

| 20 | 20 | | the scholarship assistance it provides to local students seeking |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
